Pudendal Pain to Purpose Foundation

Pelvic Health Workforce Development Initiative

Our goal is simple:

Shorten the journey from first symptoms to the right care.

One additional pelvic rehabilitation clinician can positively impact thousands of patients over the course of a career.

That’s why the Pudendal Pain to Purpose Foundation is investing in the next generation of pelvic rehabilitation providers. Patients with complex pelvic pain conditions frequently experience prolonged delays before receiving an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.  Research suggests that earlier intervention may improve outcomes. Prolonged nerve compression and persistent pain may reduce the opportunity for full recovery while allowing sensitized pain pathways to become increasingly difficult to reverse.

The Pudendal Pain to Purpose Foundation has a goal to sponsor 100 therapists to elevate their practice and include comprehensive pelvic therapy.  One clinician, over the course of a 30 year career, conservatively treating 6 pelvic patients a clinical day, for 4 days a week, for 46 working weeks annually, and assuming only 8 visits per patient, can impact approximately 4,100 individual pelvic patients.  So by sponsoring 100 clinicians Pudendal Pain to Purpose Foundation hopes to impact almost half a million lives.

We are investing in earlier recognition, earlier diagnosis, and earlier appropriate treatment by expanding the pelvic rehabilitation workforce. Do you know someone who would be a candidate for this program?
